NavGPT operates locally within your browser. We do not collect, monitor, or transmit your ChatGPT conversations, message content, or browsing history.

NavGPT does not require user accounts, licence checks, or payment processing to function.

1. Overview

NavGPT is a Chrome extension that enhances navigation within ChatGPT. The extension functions locally in your browser.

We do not collect or transmit your ChatGPT conversations, message content, or browsing activity.

2. Data Processed Locally

NavGPT stores limited technical and preference data locally on your device using Chrome’s extension storage system, including:

  • User preferences and extension settings
  • UI state needed for extension functionality
  • Temporary cached data required to operate the extension

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us. All locally stored data is removed if you uninstall the extension, subject to your browser’s normal extension removal behavior.

3. Data Collection and Transmission

NavGPT is designed to operate locally. We do not collect personal data through the extension and do not transmit your ChatGPT conversations or browsing history to our servers.

If the extension links to external websites, such as the Chrome Web Store or our contact page, those sites may process data under their own privacy policies.

4. Data Sharing

NavGPT does not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

Because we do not collect personal data through the extension, we do not share such data with third parties for advertising, analytics, or profiling purposes.

5. Data Retention

We do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on our own servers through NavGPT.

Data stored locally by the extension remains on your device and can generally be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage in your browser.

6. International Transfers

Because NavGPT does not transmit personal data to our servers as part of its normal operation, we do not carry out international transfers of personal data through the extension itself.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you may have rights under data protection law, including the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of personal data
  • Object to processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Because NavGPT does not store personal data on our servers as part of its normal operation, most extension data can be removed by uninstalling the extension.
